Five depths down. A master at the end of each.
Every run starts at dusk in the Reedmarsh. Walk the labyrinth, break the walls that bar your way, and find the chamber where the depth's master sleeps. Fell it, and a way down opens. Fell the last one, and it is dawn.
Your weapons fire on their own. You steer the lantern; firebolts, arrows, grave blades and lightning find the nearest foe.
Every level is a choice. Three cards: a new weapon, a stronger rank, or a relic that bends the run your way.
What you find, you keep. Lanterns, cloaks, charms and boots in four rarities, worn into the next run. Embers buy ranks at the shrine.
The fen fights back. Champions hunt you partway down, treasure goblins run with their hoard, and urns hide what the dead left behind.
Five bearers. Choose who carries the light.
Four places by the fire.
One of you makes a camp and reads out its code. The others join, pick their bearers, and say they are ready. Then the keeper lights the lanterns, and all four of you go down the same labyrinths, in the same run.
If a friend falls, stand beside them for three seconds and they get back up. Experience is shared, so nobody falls behind, and every master leaves a piece of gear for each bearer.

The Daily Fen.
Once a day the fen is drawn the same for everyone: the same labyrinths, the same masters. Everyone starts bare, with no gear and no shrine ranks. Your solo runs are played again by the server before they count, so the board is honest.
